“An important story for all”
✭✭✭✭✭ An important story for all
A wonderful sometimes humorous look at a courageous woman who had the courage to break away from a splinter group arising from Mormonism. Her initiative and common sense are an inspiration to anyone caught in a restrictive group of any kind.

... A very quick and entertaining read. I like how the author takes full responsibility for her actions and has moved on with her life … I have even seen abuses of all sorts in the name of God, so I have been on sort of a reading spree about religious fundamentalism of all kinds, and this was a very informative addition to my library … I've read so many books on Mormon women who were brainwashed from childhood and forced into the practices of their religion that it was very interesting to read the story of how a mature, intelligent woman took very small steps into a lifestyle like this. It could happen to any of us, and this book illustrates how. I have a fairly twisted sense of humor at times, and loved the style of this book—can't resist anything that makes me both learn AND laugh. My daughter is 18 and I have tried to raise her to be a woman of faith while still keeping her interests, her talents, her individuality, the unique gifts from God that make her what she is, and her COMMON SENSE. I passed this book on to her as a cautionary tale against any “religion” that makes women, even temporarily, lose any of those things.
